Give the gift of photography

Do you have a friend or family member who’s due to have a baby soon? Well, if you’re looking for the perfect gift for her, have you considered giving them the gift of photography?

I’m often asked whether it’s possible to buy vouchers towards my photography experiences.

And the answer to that question is yes! As I think buying someone a voucher towards a professional photoshoot is a wonderful idea for a present!

Buy a newborn mini session for a friend or family member

Here at Frances Stephenson Photography, I sell gift vouchers which are redeemable against my newborn mini sessions (minimum voucher value £200).

This could be a great option as a luxury gift from a close friend or family member. Or as a joint gift from a number of friends or colleagues.

Or do you know someone who is already booked in for a newborn photoshoot with me? Then buy them one of my vouchers! The value of the voucher could be spent on photo products after their session.

The minimum gift voucher value of £200 is the total cost of one of my newborn mini sessions, and it comes complete with the five digital images.

Newborn mini sessions

My newborn mini sessions are one-hour long photoshoot experiences, held at my custom-built photography studio in Stafford.

They include:

*A fabulous experience but without the props and perfected poses that I create in my V.I.P. newborn shoots. I describe it as a “fuss-free” and “stripped back” newborn photography shoot

*A private afternoon studio session. Starting at 3.30pm, your friend and her baby will be home in time for tea!

*A variety of newborn portraits. I will set up several different shots, giving her a number of different images of her baby

*She can also have photos of herself and her partner and/or older children with the baby, to get a beautiful family portrait

All your friend would need to do is contact me to agree on a date for the session. (N.B. – this would need to be within the first three weeks after the baby is born). But aside from that, there is nothing extra for her to do, or to pay.

After her photoshoot, she’ll receive five images from the day on a downloadable link. I’ll do the hard work by selecting for her the best portraits from the day.

All she need then do is download the images and print them at her leisure. Easy peasy!

Options to upgrade

While there is no obligation to, she would have the option to upgrade if she wanted.

  1. Upgrade to a full newborn photoshoot

For example, she could upgrade from the (pre-paid) newborn mini session to a full newborn photoshoot, and then use the voucher to buy photos products.

  2. Buy additional photos or photo products

Or, if she finds that she wants to have more than the five images that are included, she could opt to buy additional digital photos or digital products from my a la carte price list.

Please note before buying a gift voucher…

Previous customers have presented their gift vouchers to their mummy-to-be friend either at her baby shower or after the arrival of her baby. But they usually will have discussed the gift idea with her before buying. And I would urge you to do the same.

You see, if you’re planning to buy a voucher from me, I do ask you to run it by the recipient first.

I want to ensure she and her partner are comfortable with the idea of a baby photoshoot (despite what you might think, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea). And I want to be sure that they like my style of work.

(Please direct them to my portrait gallery to view recent examples of my newborn portraits and to my About page to learn more about me and what I offer, so that can decide for themselves).

There’s another reason too. Since the baby would need to be under three weeks of age to be photographed, it’s preferable that we agree on a date for the session well in advance.

My diary is a busy place, and I only offer a limited number of sessions per month. So I do ask clients to book as far in advance as possible. Anytime from the 20-week dating scan is ideal, since we then know approximately when the baby is due to arrive.

Gift vouchers from Frances Stephenson Photography

My gift vouchers are beautifully designed and are presented in an attractive Frances Stephenson Photography wallet.

They can be collected from my studio at any time, with prior arrangement. I’m afraid I don’t post gift vouchers in case they get lost in the post – we wouldn’t want that to happen, of course! But it’s very easy to buy one from me. I accept cash or credit card payments on collection.

Other important things you should know:

*Gift vouchers can be made up to any value you wish (minimum spend £200)

*I don’t offer refunds on gift vouchers

*Gift vouchers are valid for six months from the date of purchase

*They are only redeemable against a newborn mini session or photo products to the equivalent value, and not as part-payment towards my other photoshoot experiences.

So, whether you’re a satisfied client of mine who would love to treat someone to the same experience as you enjoyed. Or whether you’re someone who just loves my style of photography and knows your friend would too, do give me a call to purchase a gift voucher.

It would make the perfect gift for your expectant lady friend!
